ASK US ABOUT HFO80™ - FILTER PAPER FOR INTENSE HEAT & PRESSURE
Spunbond Pointbond Polyester
Recommended For: Pressure, Vacuum, and Gravity Filters
Product Details
Recommended for: | Pressure, Vacuum & Gravity Filters |
---|---|
Features: |
|
Description: | SB PB Polyester provides uniform coverage, good cross directional strength and consistent filtration. This media is used widely in pressure filter applications and to a lesser extent on vacuum filters. SB PB Polyester also provides the ability to run on applications where tramp oil is present. A Real advantage of this media compared to flatbond polyster is the even distribution of fibers providing uniform entrapment of particulate. Material complies with FDA regulations for use in food grade applications. |
Typical Applications: | rinding of all types; Centerless, Thru Feed, Cylindrical, Roll Grinding, Surface, Belt, Double Disc, Tube Mills and Saws, Plating, FDA/Food Applications. |
Typical Basis Weights: | 0.6, 0.8, 1.0, 1.5 Ounces Per Square Yard (OSY) |
Spunbond Polypropylene (SBPP)
Recommended For: Pressure, Vacuum, and Gravity Filters
Product Details
Recommended for: | Pressure, Vacuum & Gravity Filters |
---|---|
Features: |
|
Description: | A workhorse in the filtration industry, SBPP is a spunbond pointbond polypropylene. This media is widely used on vacuum filters and pressure filters and to a lesser extent on gravity filters. A low cost, highly effective filter media. Due to the lower cost and wide range of uses in diverse applications, SBPP continues to replace higher cost polyesters and polyester rayon blends. The uniformity and absence of a binder makes SBPP an excellent replacement media. Consistency in this product allows for less fluctuation in PPM and provides predictable micron counts. |
Typical Applications: | Grinding of all types; Centerless, Thru Feed, Cylindrical, Roll Grinding, Surface, Belt, Double Disc, Honing Tube Mills and Saws, Tower Water, Plating, Parts Washers, Paint Booths |
Typical Basis Weights: | 0.6, 0.8, 1.0, 1.5 Ounces Per Square Yard (OSY) |
Spunbond Polyester (SBPE)
Recommended For: Pressure, Vacuum, and Gravity Filters
Product Details
Features: |
|
---|---|
Description: | High strength media that works well in straight oil or filtration applications where restricted flow is a problem. Polyester Spunbond is 100% polyester that provides good cake building characteristics and can be used on pressure, vacuum and gravity filters. Polyester Spunbond allows for good filtration in applications where blinding occurs regularly. If your application has a high tramp oil concentration, Polyester Spunbond can help in providing longer cycles because polyester does not bind with oils. This media also does a great job where larger particles are present such as creep feed grinding or chip applications. |
Recommended for: | Pressure, Vacuum & Gravity Filters |
Typical Applications: |
|
Typical Basis Weights: | 0.5, 0.8, 1.0, 1.25 Ounces Per Square Yard (OSY) |
Additional Info: | Consult factory for the best selection for your application. |
Cellulose / Rayon Based Gravity Filter Paper
Recommended For: Gravity Filters
Product Details
Features: |
|
---|---|
Description: | A staple in the filtration industry for gravity filters. This product provides good clarity for filtration applications that do not require higher tensile strengths. Typically made of blended rayon and polyester fibers. A good general purpose gravity filter media. EG-Rayon has been used in the industry for decades. Because it can span a wide variety of coolant types without a drastic change in performance, it remains a standard for gravity filters. Due to strength issues in the cross direction of this media, it is not recommended for filter types that have rigorous strength requirements. |
Recommended for: | Gravity Filters |
Typical Applications: |
|
Typical Basis Weights: | 0.6, 0.8, 1.0, 1.2 Ounces Per Square Yard (OSY) |
Additional Info: | Consult factory for the best selection for your application. |
Meltblown Polypropylene (MBPP)
Recommended For: Pressure Filters
Product Details
Features: |
|
---|---|
Description: | Delicate, but effective, Meltblown filter media usually requires a support screen when used in liquid filtration. In most cases, this media is laminated between stronger layers of media. Great depth filtration can be expected. Usually used on pressure filters. A good choice for extra fine filtration. |
Recommended for: | Pressure Filters |
Typical Applications: |
|
Typical Basis Weights: | 2.7 Ounces Per Square Yard (OSY) |
Additional Info: | Consult factory for the best selection for your application. |
Spunbond Meltblown /
Spunbound Polypropylene (SMS)
Recommended For: Pressure and Vacuum Filters
Product Details
Features: |
|
---|---|
Description: | Excellent choice for extra fine filtration. SMS is a multi-layered polypropylene composite consisting of outer layers of polypropylene and an inner layer of meltblown. Not suggested for gravity filters. Usually used on pressure or vacuum filters. |
Recommended for: | Pressure Filters & Vacuum Filters |
Typical Applications: |
|
Typical Basis Weights: | 1.5, 2.5, 2.7 (calendared) Ounces Per Square Yard (OSY) |
Additional Info: | Consult factory for the best selection for your application. |
Spunbound / Meltblown Polypropylene (SM)
Recommended For: Pressure Filters
Product Details
Features: |
|
---|---|
Description: | Combining the strength of Spunbond Polypropylene and the filtration capabilities of Meltblown, SM is a thermally bonded composite that works well in pressure filters. Great depth filtration can be expected. A good choice for extra fine filtration. |
Recommended for: | Pressure Filters |
Typical Applications: | Honing |
Typical Basis Weights: | 2.0 Ounces Per Square Yard (OSY) |
Additional Info: | Consult factory for the best selection for your application. |
Wetlaid Polyester / Cellulose
Recommended For: Pressure, Vacuum, and Gravity Filters
Product Details
Features: |
|
---|---|
Description: | Good choice for finer filtration. This media consists of blended polyester and cellulose fibers. When you require fine finishes, lower PPM’s and a reduction in micron size, Wetlaid is a safe bet. Can be used on vacuum, pressure and gravity filters. |
Recommended for: | Pressure Filters, Vacuum Filters & Gravity Filters |
Typical Applications: |
|
Typical Basis Weights: | 1.5, 1.8 Ounces Per Square Yard (OSY) |
